POD: Serbian Brides Run to Win an All-Sponsored Wedding ...

At a glance they all may look like runaway brides. But a closer look at them, and you will notice numbers on their gowns and that they are all wearing sneakers. These women dressed as brides were preparing before a race at Belgrade.

Every year, brides-to-be in Belgrade, Serbia don wedding dresses and take part in a 150-metre long race. The winner and the runners-up have costs of their weddings paid for. Now that?s something any bride would run for! The winner this year was Sanja Cigoj, who finished in 19 seconds.
