Union's Justin Silmon scored on 5-yard run around right end midway through the fourth quarter to give Union a 14-7 victory over Jenks on Friday night at Chapman Stadium in the 2012 installment of the Backyard Bowl.

The touchdown was set up by a Dalton Rodriguez fumble recovery of a bad Jenks handoff.

Jenks also fumbled inside the Union 10 early in the fourth quarter with a chance to break a 7-7 tie and missed a 31-yard field goal late in the third quarter.

Jenks' Trey'Vonne Barr'e opened the scoring with a 45-yard TD run in the first quarter. But Union answered right back as Khalid Kornegay, a Tulsa commitment, returned the ensuing kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown.

The game stayed tied until Silmon scored with 5:47 left in the game.
